Accessibility at Alvora

Alvora exists to take the intimidation out of technology. That mission only makes sense if the site itself is usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions, or other assistive technology. This page describes where we stand, honestly, and how to reach us when something does not work for you.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard referenced by most accessibility regulations worldwide. We consider the site partially conformant today: most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not yet, and we say so plainly below rather than pretending otherwise.
What we do
Accessibility is considered in how the site is designed and built, not bolted on afterwards. Concretely: pages use semantic HTML with a logical heading structure, so screen readers can navigate by landmarks and headings; text keeps readable contrast against our light theme, and the interface does not rely on color alone to convey meaning; the site is usable with a keyboard, including forms, navigation, and course lessons; meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them; layouts are responsive and support high zoom levels, so content reflows rather than requiring horizontal scrolling; forms have proper labels and clear, specific error messages; and copy is written in plain English, short sentences, no unnecessary jargon, which is an accessibility feature too.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you now than have you discover these mid-lesson. Lesson videos: most lesson videos do not yet have captions or transcripts. Videos are new to the catalog and captioning them is on our roadmap; in the meantime, every lesson's full substance (objective, steps, and prompts) is available as on-page text, so no lesson depends on the video alone. Downloadable files: some cheat sheets and exercise files (PDFs and documents) have not yet been fully optimized for screen readers. If a specific file does not work for you, contact us and we will provide the content in an accessible format. Embedded third-party content: video players and other embedded content come from third parties (such as YouTube) and may have accessibility gaps we cannot fix directly, though we choose providers with accessible players where possible.
Compatibility
The site is built to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies, including VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack. If you find a combination that does not work, we want to know about it.
How we check
We review accessibility as part of building and updating the site, using a combination of automated checks (such as Lighthouse audits), manual keyboard and zoom testing, and screen reader spot checks on key flows such as sign-up, course navigation, and lessons.
Tell us if something is hard to use
If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on alvora.llc, we genuinely want to hear about it, and you will reach a person, not a form that goes nowhere. Email info@alvora.llc, or call toll free 888-844-5851 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time). It helps if you tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.
We reply within two business days. While we work on a fix, we will get you the content another way, for example by sending an accessible version of a file or walking you through an alternative path.
Ongoing work
This statement was prepared on August 29, 2026, and we review it as the site evolves. Accessibility work is never finished, and as the course catalog grows (especially the video library), we will keep closing the gaps listed above and updating this page to reflect where things stand.
